Overview
DATEYE is a medical device integration platform for ophthalmic practices. It runs locally on your Windows or macOS computer and transfers measurement data between devices and practice management systems — without manual data entry and without data loss.
What DATEYE Does
Medical devices in an eye care practice each store data in proprietary formats. Practice management systems use completely different formats. DATEYE sits between them:
- Import — DATEYE retrieves measurement data from your devices (biometers, OCT, practice management systems)
- Store — Data is saved in a local encrypted database on your computer
- Export — DATEYE sends the relevant data to your target systems (practice management, research platforms)
Each direction is handled independently. An import adapter for a biometer does not need to know which practice management system you use, and vice versa.
Supported Devices
| Device | Type | Data Transferred |
|---|---|---|
| MYAH | Optical biometer | Axial length, keratometry, pupil diameter |
| AL550 | Optical biometer | Full biometry including quality metrics |
| IOLMaster | Optical biometer | Axial length, keratometry, IOL calculation data |
| Eye-Office | Practice management | Client demographics and refraction |
| OPA3 | Practice management | Client demographics |
| Revo OCT | OCT device | OCT biometry, central corneal thickness |
How Data Flows
Data in DATEYE moves in one direction only:
- Devices and practice systems → Import → DATEYE database
- DATEYE database → Export → Target systems
This separation ensures data integrity: importing from one device never affects exports to another system, and DATEYE always knows the origin of every measurement.
System Requirements
| Platform | Minimum |
|---|---|
| macOS | macOS 12 Monterey or later |
| Windows | Windows 10 version 1903 or later |
| Network adapters | Device and DATEYE on the same local network |
| Disk space | 200 MB for the application; additional space for the database |
Network adapters (AL550, Eye-Office, OPA3) communicate over your local network. No internet connection is required for device communication.
