DATEYE

Revo OCT

The Optopol Revo OCT exports biometry measurements as CSV files with semicolon delimiters. DATEYE monitors a watch folder for new CSV exports and imports axial length, keratometry, and central corneal thickness. Import direction: Revo OCT → DATEYE (file-based, CSV).

Overview

The Revo OCT generates one CSV file per measurement session. DATEYE detects new files in the watch folder and imports them automatically. The CSV format uses semicolons as field delimiters and German-style decimal commas (e.g., 23,45 for 23.45). DATEYE handles these format specifics automatically.

Revo OCT CSV files use semicolons as delimiters and German-style decimal commas (e.g., 23,45 mm). DATEYE parses these automatically — no locale configuration is needed on your computer.

Prerequisites

Before configuring Revo OCT in DATEYE, complete the following steps:

  • Configure the Revo OCT to export CSV files to a network-accessible folder. Refer to the Revo OCT operator manual for export settings.
  • Ensure the export folder is accessible from the computer running DATEYE. For a network share, mount or map the share before starting DATEYE.
  • Verify that DATEYE has read permissions for the export folder.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. Open DATEYE and navigate to the Connections screen.
  2. Click the + button to add a new connection.
  3. Select Revo OCT from the device list.
  4. Enter the full path to the watch folder in the Watch Folder field. Use the folder browser button to navigate to the correct location.
  5. Enable Auto-Import to have DATEYE import files as soon as they appear in the folder.
  6. Click Save to create the connection.
  7. Place a test CSV export file from the Revo OCT into the watch folder.

The connection card turns green once DATEYE confirms it can access the watch folder.

Verification

Expected result: The Revo OCT connection card shows green. Within a few seconds of a new CSV file appearing in the watch folder, an import record appears in the DATEYE History screen with the measurement data.

If the connection card shows an error:

  • Check that the watch folder path is correct and the folder exists.
  • Verify that DATEYE has read access to the folder (check folder permissions on your operating system).
  • On Windows, ensure network shares are accessible with the current user credentials.

If measurement data appears incomplete or incorrect:

  • Confirm the exported file is a standard Revo OCT CSV (semicolon-delimited, .csv extension).
  • Check that the Revo OCT export settings have not been changed to use a different output format or delimiter.
  • Review the DATEYE History screen for any validation warnings attached to the import record.
